Last year Timmy Ferry began a resurgence in his career that has seen him return to the top step of the podium. The 33-year-old rider has gone from Factory rider to privateer and back over the course of his 17-year career. Ferry resurgence began when he signed with the Monster Energy Kawasaki team in 2007, where he earned three podium finishes including his first overall win since 2001. Ferry’s win vaulted him into a four-way title chase last year with Grant Langston, Andrew Short and Mike Alessi. Ferry enters the 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship Presented by FMF ready to race for the title after a good indoor season. Ferry was the runner-up for the 2002 season title and finished fourth in the championship last season.
